Johnson Polymer now has west coast manufacturing capabilities
in the U.S., through a long-term contract manufacturing
agreement with Essential Industries, Inc. that enables it to
use Essential’s Fernley, NV polymer reactor plant. Last year
the companies announced a technology alliance to service
polyurethanes and acrylic chemistries in the protective coatings
industry.
“Johnson Polymer has North American manufacturing
facilities in the eastern and central regions, but nothing in
the west,” said Michael Patterson, vice president of global
operations for Johnson Polymer. “We are excited to be able to
further enhance our customer responsiveness and strengthen
our support of customers in that region of the country.”
